About Us

History

The company ahg Anschütz Handels GmbH, referred to as ahg, was founded on May 7, 1976, by Dieter Anschütz and his wife Elfi. Through his role as Managing Director at the firearms manufacturer J. G. Anschütz GmbH & Co. KG, Dieter Anschütz had excellent connections within the shooting sports community. His wife Elfi, a trained tailor, was able to immediately translate shooters’ needs into cutting patterns.
Since 1990, Uwe Anschütz has also been working at ahg. As of 2009, ahg employs 9 full-time and part-time staff members. Since January 1, 2009, sole management has been in the hands of Uwe Anschütz.
The company’s headquarters are located in southern Germany, in the city of Ulm.

Products

In addition to a comprehensive range of shooting jackets, trousers, shoes, gloves, iris diaphragms, front sights, tuning accessories, glasses, transport cases, spotting scopes, caps, and care products in all price ranges, the product portfolio also includes the sporting firearms program of J.G. Anschütz as well as other well-known manufacturers.
The goal is to offer a full-service solution from a single source.

Developments

Norbert Ussfeller, an active sports shooter and former national team member, is responsible for technical developments at ahg. These are often developed and tested in collaboration with national and international top shooters, such as Olympic champions Kati and Matt Emmons from the USA, as well as many other shooters from Germany and abroad.

Quality Standards

All products manufactured and distributed by ahg comply with the guidelines of the DSB and the ISSF.

Materials

Only high-quality materials are selected and used in the production of ahg products.

Distribution Network

ahg has a globally operating dealer distribution network, with key partner dealers in all major shooting sports countries.
55% of all sales are exports, while 45% of products are sold in Germany.

Achievements

Countless Olympic medals, as well as World and European Championship titles, have been won using ahg products.
